Vibrio parahaemolyticus
Last modified at 28 Feb. 2003

Genome sequence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus: a pathogenic mechanism distinct from that of V cholerae.
Kozo Makino et al.
Lancet 361:743-749 (2003). Supplemental data
Vibrio parahaemolyticus, a Gram-negative marine bacterium, is a worldwide cause of food-borne gastroenteritis, particularly in areas where seafood consumption is high. The organism is phylogenetically close to V. cholerae, the etiological agent of cholera. Here we report the complete genome sequence of V. parahaemolyticus strain RIMD2210633.
